One thing to establish first: your account does not live with WOOW TECH. It lives on the Odoo server your own organisation hosts. This App has no account system and no backend that could delete your account. Deletion therefore happens on your organisation's Odoo website — and the App can take you straight to that page.

Inside the App, tap Settings → Delete Account to open this page at any time. That entry only opens this page and does not delete anything by itself; to actually delete your account, use one of the options in section 2.

1. First, which kind of account do you have?

Account typeWhere it came fromHow to delete it
Portal account
(Odoo portal user)
Set up by your organisation for external users such as customers or partners Self-service deletion is available — see option A in section 2
Employee account
(Odoo internal user)
Created by your organisation's administrator, usually linked to an employee record and attendance This account is your organisation's asset and has no self-service deletion entry; an administrator must handle it — see option B in section 2

If you are not sure which you have, just use option B and we will work it out for you.

2. How to request deletion

Option A — Self-service (for portal accounts; can be done inside the App)

  1. In the App, sign in to the connection whose account you want to delete.
  2. Go to that Odoo site's My Account → Security page (the address is /my/security; you can also reach it from the user menu after signing in).
  3. Scroll to the Delete Account section at the bottom of the page and confirm as prompted.
  4. Odoo deactivates (archives) your account and records an account-deletion request; a scheduled job then attempts to delete the account permanently (see section 4).

The App has a built-in browser, so this page opens and completes inside the App — you do not need a computer.

Option B — By email (works for every account type)

  1. Write from the email address registered on your account to [email protected].
  2. Use the subject line: "Account deletion request — woowtech platform".
  3. Include the server address and database name you connect to (the two values you type at login), your login name, your organisation's name, and the scope you want deleted (the whole account, or specific data).

There is no form to fill in and no password to supply — we will never ask you for your password.

3. Timeline and confirmation

  • We acknowledge your request by email within 3 business days of receiving it.
  • We complete processing within 30 days of receiving the request. Where a case is complex we may extend that period, and we will tell you the reason and the new deadline before the original 30 days expire.
  • When processing is complete we send a second email confirming completion, stating what was deleted and what had to be retained under law.
  • If yours is an employee account: we forward your request to your organisation's administrator within 3 business days and copy you on it. The deletion itself is carried out by your organisation, because the account and the business data in it belong to that organisation.
  • Identity verification: please send the request from the email address registered on the account. If that is not possible, we will ask your organisation's administrator to help confirm your identity.

4. What gets deleted

ItemWhat happens
Your Odoo user account (login name, password, sessions)Deactivated (archived) first, after which you can no longer sign in; Odoo deletes the account permanently where it can. If the account is still referenced by other business records and cannot be deleted, it stays archived
Push device registrations (push token, device name, platform, last-seen time)Deleted together with the user account when the account is actually deleted (these rows are attached to the user record at the database level). If the account is only archived, the device registrations remain on the server and must be deleted by your organisation's administrator; when we process your request we ask the administrator to delete them as well. You can also sign out or remove the connection in the App before making your request; the App then attempts to unregister this device from the server
Profile data (name, email, avatar and similar, depending on your organisation's Odoo configuration)Handled by that Odoo's account-deletion process
Local data on your deviceYou can remove the connection in the App at any time (this clears that connection's account data, password, session and web data), or uninstall the App (which removes all of the App's local data, including copies of photos taken with the camera inside the App)

5. What is retained, and why

Some data does not disappear with your account. Please read this before you make a request.

5.1 Business records belonging to your organisation

The records you generate at work — attendance entries, messages and comments, documents you created or handled, attachments you uploaded — are your organisation's operational records, stored on its own Odoo. Deleting your personal account does not, and usually should not, delete those records, because they often contain other people's work and transaction facts the company is required to keep.

Whether and how far those records are deleted is decided by your organisation under its own policies and the law. If you want them addressed as well, raise it with your organisation's administrator.

5.2 Data we are required by law to keep

Where the law requires data to be retained, it is not deleted before the statutory period expires; beyond meeting that legal obligation, we stop using it for any other purpose. This mainly covers:

  • Accounting vouchers and transaction records: under Taiwan's Business Entity Accounting Act, accounting vouchers are kept for 5 years, and accounting books and financial statements for 10 years.
  • Tax-related records: for the period required by Taiwan's tax collection legislation.

Almost all such data lives in your organisation's own Odoo, and that organisation meets the retention obligation.

5.3 Systems and backups

  • Server and network logs: your organisation's Odoo and any proxy in front of it record connection logs including IP addresses. Retention is set by your organisation or its IT provider.
  • Backups: data already written to a backup expires naturally with your organisation's backup rotation. Historical backups are not rewritten for an individual deletion request.
  • Push delivery: notifications already sent passed through Google (and, on iOS, Apple) for delivery. Their retention is governed by those providers' terms and is outside this App's control — see section 8.3 of the privacy policy.

6. These are not account deletion

  • Removing a connection in the App — clears local data on this phone only; the account on the server still exists.
  • Uninstalling the App — same; affects this phone only.
  • Signing out — ends the current session only.
  • Turning off notifications — stops the notifications being shown only.
  • Having your account disabled — the account and its data still exist; you simply cannot sign in.

If you want the account genuinely deleted, use section 2.

7. One server at a time

If you have connected the App to several Odoo servers, each one is a separate account. Deleting the account on one server has no effect on the others, and it does not revoke the push token on the device globally (that token belongs to the device and is shared with any connections still in use). Please state clearly in your request which server's account you want deleted; if you want them all deleted, list each one.
